I don't see debris mentioned. At the rate debris shows up when you're under fire shouldn't the upgrade decrease the chance for debris? I mean, you're armor tanking. The armor plate should decrease the debris chance a little bit.

We can have the dreadnought plating upgrade. And the other way you can go is a faster smaller BC that relys more on sheilds and speed
Destroyer upgrade -
75 yellow 125 blue
Increase Max ship health by 1000
Increases hull armour by 1
Increase ship size by 5%
Increase ship speed by 5% and turning by 10%
Increases sheilds damage reduction by 7.5%

It allows for different styles depending on the hull you want

I think that dreadnuught armor is basically just an opportunity for newbs to make the wrong choice.
I would never sacrifice movement speed.

Different hull types? Maybe something like kinetic? Only an get one and each one does something different/specializes in something else? Such as the dreadnought armor, maybe something for speed, but sacrifices a little bit of armor and hull, but makes shields more effective because of 5% smaller BC and makes it go 10-15% faster or so, and maybe an upgrade that is more specialized in power, reducing hull and increasing size to make power core bigger, providing about 30-40-50-100 extra power or something in total.
Just suggesting. l completely agree with tempest that docking is much more important, though.

Debris is good if you're expecting it, as removing it heals your ship.
