thats another problem: why is the miner much more faster than the wraith? a miner have much cargo room and the wraith? te wraith only haves engines and a plasma cannon/emp rocket. so a wraith can't fly faster than a ship with a big cargo room and a beam array?

Wraith can use strafe ability to move faster than ANY small ship, wheras miners have the highest natural speed. I always say a smart miner never dies, and that is mostly true. I'd like to see it stay that way. Even so, if a wraith pilot does his job (and miners are too far from BC to dock) then kills are highly likely. I appreciate the input, Jannik, but I believe you will find kills easier to come by as you gain experience with they system.

What Glarion said. l've always thought of the point of a wraith is to keep miners from mining, not necessarily killing them. Although it's a big plus if you do.

A good wraith picks his targets intelligently, and sometimes does not engage instead chooses to stay put between the bc and the miners and destroy their mineral packages. Upon engagement every shot counts, the sooner you are unloading on the miner the better, and the placement of your wraith during an assault is also important. Be where the miner would least want you to be, use your pings to your advantage to make this happen. A great wraith against a Great miner can go in either direction. If the wraith gets the kill the miner would have put him in a dangerous situation near the bc or other fighters. My point being the small ships are balanced excellently, if there's a problem your seeing i don't care what it is, its user caused and can be user fixed.

fair enough, its tempest we should nerf, not wraiths.

There are plenty of wraith pilots superior to me xD talking crap like that just makes me get looked down on in game when i do lose. log on sc2 cala i want to have a word with you

I'm reminded of a time when Capsnip and I were playing a 2v5 game, and both of us had gone out in mining ships. We were close together for double-team-sake, and an enemy wraith came to get some action. I started ramming him, and Cap used turbo....killed the wraith, and both of us in the pincer.

I think we could breathe through the laughter after about half an hour.
