It actually does do motion prediction. It uses different methods depending on the distance. The problem is that it uses the current speed which changes and is very hard to predict. If the target is close, it just does extrapolates the current position forward linearly depending on the distance.

If the target is far away, it does some more complex linear algebra calculations to calculate the intersection point.

Anyway, I am adding some more AI fixes to the next patch.
REALLY!!!
I think i feel compltetly stupid everytime I type one of my supposed observations, I must be blind :p

perhaps, but bugs cause it to not work as creator intends so some my observations may been correct at times

no creator can see the map in its entirety the way players can :o thats why feedback is so important, testing cant produce the same effects as competitive playing.

I think that may be a point pushing towards my favor :p

meh. but you are suggesting things that are easily seen by siretu, the feedback that creators need is for balancing and bugs and also some new ideas

For the record, feedback or observations are never a bad thing. Keep 'em coming.

by the way, theres still a problem with the ai not attacking targets (mostly BC) and selecting the lazer and/or kinetics option
