Having seen some Neph play CC before, I think you might find that quick start guide to the game useful

During the score screen (that's in the beginning with the huge scoreboard that tells everyone reputation) you want to assign roles to members of your team.
Roles usually go as follow

one captain
three miners
one wraith
one refine/ping bitch

When you are done assigning roles, you want to not hit the ready button. Readying up is lame.

So when the actual game starts (that's when your view move to inside the BC, a good sign is that the scoreboard is gone and it's not black everywhere, unless your monitor is off. If your monitor is off refer to page 5 of Caladbolg's guide for beginners) so anyway, when it starts, do the following depending on your role


Captain, go fix the power setting. A personal favorite of mine is 0 engine, 10 shield, 105% core, 70 weapon.
Miners, go to the hangar (you may click the button) and then launch a miner. then mine. not just blue.
wraith, go to the hangar (you may not click the button) and launch the wraith. press X immediately and sit inside the BC's body to charge your energy to at least 800.
bitch, go to the hangar but don't launch a ship like the cool kids. You take the mineral and walk back and forth between the Hangar and the refine bay. ping if you want.


when you are done with your first task, move to your second task

Captain, alternate between pinging, upgrading small ships and yelling at your bitch for more mineral.
Miners, mine. avoid enemy ships. mine. Always keep 250 energy to warp.
wraith, you are charged, time to harass. DO NOT DIE.
bitch, continue your pointless job you useless piece of s***. Also start complaining about how boring being the bitch is.

Then comes the third task

Captain, Upgrade BC's weaponry. Complain about bitch not refining, not pinging and being busy complaining.
Miners, mine. Ask for chompers and get denied. if Captain powerdock with a chomper, launch it, get yelled at and then dock it. back to miner.
wraith, I trust you haven't died yet. Keep not dying. Try to scare the enemy miners.
bitch, WTF ARE YOU DOING. GO F******* PING AND REFINE FASTER

and then you are pretty much battle ready. Up to you what to do next.



Hope that helps your clan start. Maybe you'll win a game against pubs with all these hints!

The Hebrew of nephilim  is נפלים, which may mean "those causing others to fall". Abraham ibn Ezra proposes that they were called this because men's hearts would fail at the sight of them. Some ( e.g. Jean Leclerc and Peter of Aquila) suggest that it is derived from the warlike nature of the Nephilim, comparing the usage of Naphal  in Job 1:15 "And the Sabeans fell upon them" where Naphal  means "to take in battle". Alternatively, Shadal understands nephilim as deriving from the Hebrew word פלא Pela which means wondrous.

The Targum Yonathan states that they were given this name because they were descended from fallen angels.
The Nephilim come from a union between Sons of God (בני האלהים "b’nei ha-'elohim" Lit. "Sons of the powers" ) and "daughters of man".

In Aramaic culture, the term Nephila  specifically referred to the constellation of Orion, and thus Nephilim to Orion's semi-divine descendants (cf. Anakim  from Anak); the implication being that this also is the origin of the Biblical Nephilim. Some commentators have suggested that the Nephilim were believed to have been fathered by members of a proto- Hebrew pantheon and are a brief glimpse of early Hebrew religion, most of the details of which were later edited out from the Torah (or at least would have been edited out when, as some claim, it was redacted together), and that this passage may have offered monotheistic Hebrews a way to fit semi-divine pagan heroes into their cosmogony.
