Re: Mass replicator 2.0
If you already made it cheaper on energy, I missed it. If not, it needs to be made cheaper. You can make chalcorium right now at the same energy efficiency as 50% setting, but like a jillion times faster.

ye, sorta like thatDumbMarine wrote:If you already made it cheaper on energy, I missed it. If not, it needs to be made cheaper. You can make chalcorium right now at the same energy efficiency as 50% setting, but like a jillion times faster.
..% : m / s ____ actual value
10% : 1 / 10 ___ 1*(1,5)^0
20% : 3 / 20 ___ 1*(1,5)^1
30% : 9 / 40 ___ 1*(1,5)^2
40% : 3 / 10 ___ 1*(1,5)^3
50% : 1 / 2 ____ 1*(1,5)^4
60% : 3 / 4 ____ 1*(1,5)^5
70% : 5 / 4 ____ 1*(1,5)^6~
80% : 2 / 1 ____ 1*(1,5)^7~~
90% : 3 / 1 ____ 1*(1,5)^8~~~
100% : 5 / 1 ___ 1*(1,5)^9~~~~
now making it up to 50% increases production speed by 5 times, and then 10 times more for making it 100% (total of 50 times faster) by making each level a power of 1.5 the efficiency goes up smoothly with percentage, and for the "why" will efficiencies higher then 10% be actually used - sometimes you can't wait 10 sec to get one mineral, e.g. u need some boost superfast, then u can't wait 2000 seconds, which are basically more then half an hour, thus you'll be forced to use at least 50% ( 400 seconds - 6 mins). Or it you need it asap-asap 100% (40 seconds - less then 1 min).
And don't forget that making it
10%: 1000 energy (good saving),
50%: 2000 energy (reasonable price),
100% : 3000 energy (not much of a loss).
Thus all percentages from 10 to 100 will be usable. Another possibility is to make it able to go up to 150%, then you can add another mode
150% : 4000 energy (double price), but the time should be increased 10 times more, so u'd make 200 minerals of one type within 4 seconds, thou making 120% cap might prove to be a better idea, this way it would be easier to higher lower
110%: 20 seconds 3500 energy
120%: 10 seconds 4000 energy
47.3% of all statistics are made up on the spot...

Re: Mass replicator 2.0
I might experiment with changing the mass replicator but it requires a complete remake of the mass replicator and it's not something I want to dabble in yet. It'll have to wait until I come back.
Never ignore coincidence. Unless, of course, you’re busy. In which case, always ignore coincidence.
