Hello friends of this beloved game!
We're currently recruiting members for our clan. Before you apply for one of our spots, you need to know that most of our members are from European countries. That means that we often play in European evening hours, which is about noon in America...

Now on to our player requirements:
- Above 16 years of age
- Teamspeak3 Client + Headset
- proper spoken and written English
- The will to learn if you are relatively new to this game
- Show some activity around 9PM to 12AM CEST (that's 3PM to 6PM EDT) on monday-friday

I know of a few relatives who are under 16 and don't act like immature little... *ahem*, under 16-year-olds. Why the age requirement? You may get some really awesome 14-year olds who love CC or something.

Yes, there are exceptions.
However, the time at that we are mainly playing (9pm to 12am) might be an issue, since parents usually look after their children when they're that young, forcing them to turn their PC off right away, even though they're in-game or whatever.

If we find someone who belongs to the aforementioned exceptions we won't refuse to give him a chance.

age-restrictions means that most hate kids because most kids (not me and a few other gems of course) will
1. Troll (not even that good)
2. Rage (rage quite or rage that your noob and they hate everything about you including your mom, which is also linked to trolling)
3. dont take games seriously (Core Explodes)
4. dont work with others (Cruiser Command is probably thee heaviest teamwork game that i have ever played)

and a million other reasons
ya i hate age restrictions as well.."18+ to join" crap im 17...well this sucks simply because my generation is hopelessly useless

l'm personally 12 and usually when people talk to me they think l'm 17 or so. When recruiting for my clan, FyrBrd, l'll usually play a few games and see how they are. If they are good, and they want in, then they're welcome.

l'll never recruit anyone l don't know and haven't played with or had some fun with.

Though I can agree with some of the points being thrown out...

Well thanks for your thoughts, but we wont change the age restriction. I already had more than enough problems with 14-year-olds during my broodwar time. Of course we know that there might be some pretty awesome ones, but usually thats the minority (no offense, just my personal experience).

l still disagree with the age restriction and don't understand why you think it is necessary. Guess this may be a cheesy line to use.. But here it goes: Can't judge a book by it's cover. Same think applies to age. Unless you plan on letting unknown people who say they meet the requirements into your clan? You should really test out the person first.

But oh well. Your clan, l guess..

Degra said it before, there ARE exceptions. The age restriction exists only because the normal 12,13,14,15 year old person does not meet the other requirments like the activity and I also made the experiences like Moleman and the things Red-Rocket described. When you are under 16, BUT you´re playing properly, dont troll and you are friendly we WILL make a exception.
