I would like to discuss the possibility of organizing our own player made tournament. Rewards aside, it would be primarily for the sake of enjoying more games together as a community. Again, just throwing the idea out here first and foremost.

Various tournament formats I would like to suggest:

Single Elimination Tournament:
In case we want to do the exact same thing again.

Double Elimination Tournament:
Like a standard elimination tournament, except with a winner's and loser's bracket. Any group may lose at most once up until the finals, at which the team who remained in the winner's bracket need only win one round where the loser's bracket team must win two.

Round Robbin Tournament:
Each team will fight each team, and the team with the most victories at the end takes it all.

Random Teams Tournament:
There are no set teams. All players who register in the tournament will be consistently assigned to new teams each match. The players of each winning team will receive a point each round. The player with the most points is crowned champion.

I'm against single elimination (too few teams probably -> too short tournament) but the other 3 sound good to me.

Im actually working on the Calad Open.

I want to throw some prize in though, and I want it to be well organized. Maybe I should work something out with Erik... or Blizzard!

well since it's been over a year... I'm guessing no.

Anyway the community isn't really ready for a tournament. only CCI, Yarrr and CCA could field a six man team and all three of them would need trash standin

Let alone player commitment on being able to show up on time, if at all
