Tenative Small Ship Suggestion

This is more for the sake of storage than anything, but I would still like to post it as a reference in case there was ever a desire for a new small ship.
Missile Launcher
Distinctive Aspects:
The Missile Launcher possesses 10 inventory spaces as opposed to the normal 6.
Abilities:
- Artillery Mode: Reduces the Missile Launcher's effective speed to 1/4, and gives it a turning rate of 45 degrees per second. Takes 2 seconds to activate, and another 2 to deactivate it.
- Fire Missile: Fires the first missile in the Missile Launcher's inventory. Firing the missile causes backwards velocity, as these were missiles designed to be launched by a battle cruiser. Can only be used in Artillery Mode.
- Emergency Boosters: The Missile Launcher possesses powerful thrusters in order to help counteract the backlash of the missiles. It can use those thrusters to gain a temporary burst of forward speed for 3 seconds.
Very rough idea, keep in mind.

the only missiles that wouldn't break the game would be a destroyer deployed in 'Siege Mode', unable to move except rotate. That way the BC could totally easily destroy that ship and the ship can defend an asteroid field
And for the sake of using space...just get more ship items like an increase in thruster '10%' or view and sight range increase by '25%'

... English please? A destroyer is not a missile, nor can it deploy in Siege Mode, or was it suggested as such, not to mention that not only does the battlecruiser have a larger sight range than any small ships but they are also exceedingly visible by ping, not to mention that missiles are a consumable resource that cost
money still -- such meaning that the balance in question would not be the
small ship but the
missiles since that is the only method of 'damage output' it can offer.
So I don't understand your basis at all.

Personally l very much like the idea. l think it could also be used for alternate stuff such as.. Asteroid launcher, as suggested multiple times when it runs out of missiles.. Or better yet.. An alternate way to board.. *Cough cough*

Whoa I went way off topic on that post! ignore that

so would these be all missiles? im thinking that they should only be small missiles (top 3) the bottom 4 could get out of hand pretty quickly, unless we had an upgrade or 1 slot for large missiles to be fired
And I bet people will be firing those missiles to dodge shots, oh the fun

How could it get out of hand? What could several small ships necessarily do that a battlecruiser couldn't? Yeah, five people could buy Missile Carriers and head out with 50 Sabertooth Missiles to try and drain 50k energy. You could also buy 5 Destroyers and get leach, save everybody the trouble - hell, might even be cheaper in a lot of scenarios.
TLDR; No, disagree. Don't see it getting out of hand.

You also have to realize that the total damage output will be much lower since you can only carry a limited amount of missiles. Even with 10 slots, you'll still have to reload and go buy new missiles and load and launch.
Sure, you could have other people helping you with the reload, but then it would be a safer bet to just load the BC.

Pretty much this.
To be honest, the greatest uses I would immediately foresee for the Missile Carrier would be setting up Predator Missiles, Burst 1k Damage with Piranha, and securing Kermiculite utilizing Scorpion Missiles. Yes, you can start expanding upon that with things like Hellfire Missiles for hull damage on an unshielded BC, but that would require appropriate degrees of scouting - and of course, all of these things except the Piranha missiles cost
resource, large amounts I might add,
on top of the cost of the ship in the first place. And guess what happens if you mess up and get picked off with a full inventory of missiles? Whoops, it's gone.
So that's a thing.
