Hello! My name is Insomni and i have been working with the map editor since early Starcraft 2 'Beta' and have \\add\\ worked up to around ~24000 lines of code.

'In a galaxy far away, two teams are fighting the space battle of the ages. Starting out in their respective battlecruiser, the battle quickly escalates into a vital fight over the remaining asteroids! There are many paths to victory, and more...to death.'

Description: Cruiser Command is a game where each team has one Battlecruiser, the object of the game is to destroy the enemy Battlecruiser to win, or lose when your teams Battlecruiser is destroyed. Use the miners in the hangar to gather resources from asteroids to get missiles, main weapons and Destroyer ships to destroy the enemy Battlecruiser.

Background

This project was born almost 3 years ago (August 2011) and has since then grown into something large that I am quite proud of. It started out with me and some friends having an incredible experience playing Cruiser Command in Warcraft III on a LAN, and I decided to recreate the experience in Starcraft 2. It's now over 24000 lines of code, with a small but dedicated community. There are serveral Cruiser Command-dedicated clans and there has also been an official tournament.

Description:

Cruiser Command is a combination of space action, strategy and a space bridge simulator. It simulates the experience of being a crew of players inside a large space ship during combat.

Each of the two teams start inside a Battlecruiser. Running a Battlecruiser is no easy task and requires team work for optimal efficiency. The goal is to destroy the enemy team's Battlecruiser, but there's several ways to get there. In a game spanning 15-35 minutes, the players will fight for asteroid resources, fight smaller ship battles and refine resources while upgrading the Battlecruiser to prepare for an epic battle.


Features:
- Roles: Several different roles to learn and master. There are a lot of things to do on the Battlecruiser. Everything from navigating it to micromanaging the power supply into different parts of the ship to loading missiles and reconstructing ships in the hangar.
- Responsive Interior: The Battlecruiser's interior represents what's happening on the outside. Being attacked from the front damages the interior in the front, blocking pathways and starting fires.
- Advanced AI Controls: Playing with few players works fine. Just add AIs. These AIs are a part of the game and can be set to perform a lot of the in-game tasks, such as mining, handling the Battlecruiser weapons and loading missiles. You can also purchase these for in-game resources.
- Ship Energy Management: Ever wanted to yell: "Charge the weapons!" or "Full power to shields!"? In Cruiser Command, this is not just role playing, but a big part of the game. Split energy production and storage into different systems or overload the reactor to squeeze out some extra power (but beware of the side effects).
- Small ship combat: In addition to the Battlecruiser combat, small ship combat is also a core part of the game. Players can launch their own ships from the Battlecruiser hangar and go out and mine asteroids, harass enemy miners, lay proximity mines and more.
- Boarding: Having trouble taking down the enemy Battlecruiser? Why not board the enemy ship, incapacitate the other players and plant some C-4?
- Rewards: Playing awards reputation which can be used to unlock custom models and space backgrounds.
