Suggestion: infiltration resources

I don't think that an infiltrator that steals resources and then dies before docking in the allied BC should have any resources given to their team.. since the resources were shot down, shouldn't they disappear or something? it's not like a chomper that gets shot down respawns with all the minerals intact

ha ha rage...i like it, besides, what happens when you dont get to enemy BC with those items
Or if your wraithing and you have a better gun equipped to your character, but loose it when you loose wraith?
besides, no infiltrator survives exiting when leaving an enemy BC when they have a weapons drone, i think its fair

I think that should also probably be addressed.. perhaps the infiltrator starts out cloaked or something

and it's not like you remember these things until you encounter them.. as for the marine with a bigger gun, they should also lose that gun when they die..

As much as I like infiltration, I do think there are a lot of lingering issues with it. At the moment, it really isn't 'designed' to escape at all -- which means if you create a situation where they lose all their equipment if they die in space, you are designing it such that you're only meant to do suicide runs.

Would it still be possible to do anything other than a suicide run? Of course.

Would that be something you could often, reasonably do? No.

Frankly, fixing the inventory issue would be the first step. Provided an infiltrator could actually retain its inventory after a boarding, you could load up some damn items to protect yourself as you ran.

This was my thinking as well - yes it has issues, and this won't fix all of them, but I think it's a step in the right direction
