Enhanced stabilisers serve to increase your Battlecruiser's speed and turning rate. Each upgrade provides the battlecruiser with a base speed by 4m/s, without the addition of any power from the Power Console. Though expensive, it allows for battlecruiser mobility at little to no cost as each level of the upgrade essentially spares a battlecruiser from expending 40GW of energy from the power console instead - meaning at it's max level, your BC could be spared up to 200GW of energy consumption while mobile.

The mass replicator is a late game console that must be purchased for 100 veldite and pyromanite on top of 15 kermiculite. The console is created just above the refining area, and can be used to artificially create all mineral types available by using your battlecruiser's energy.

Currently, 1500 energy will produce 10 veldite while 2000 energy will produce either 10 chalcorium or pyromanite, while 15000 energy can be expended to create 10 kermiculite.

Due to the hefty cost of energy, mass replicator is often overlooked as it is simpler to gather the resources using a miner instead without the risk of draining all of your battlecruiser's energy. However, in Game's which players may be having trouble finding specific resources, a replicator may help, and become an efficient tool through the use of Powerdocking, where it becomes highly effective, as energy can be regenerated quite quickly. A replicator should never be used in a combat situation, during combat preparations, or immediately after an engagement, as the heavy energy taxation greatly reduces the effective use of engines and shielding, in some cases, use of a replicator in battle conditions by an inexperienced or unaware player can, and most often will, cost that player's team the game.

This is a highly sought after upgrade for ships that take a lot of hull damage. The increase in the hull repaired from your Repair Stations can easily rise to a level where you can fully repair your Battlecruiser off nothing else in a matter of minutes with no more than one or two players placing them consistently. After three upgrades, the initial 3 hull repaired per second for 25 seconds by the nanobots becomes an entire 7.5 hull per second for 25 seconds for each repair station. Essentially, the initial repair of 75 hull increases to 187.5 hull per repair station.

Possibly the best Power Transfer upgrade to purchase early, the nanite transfer creates a method for small ships to easily soak up a lot of damage and then run during the early game while damage upgrades on Small Ships and the Battlecruiser are minimal. On top of transferring 250 energy, any ship with the buff will regenerate 2% hull per seconds for 180 seconds, effectively creating a situation where it can simply take most of their hull in damage, escape, and then return to continue the fight. However, the effectiveness of nanites wears out during the late game since the limitations of small ship hull quickly become more apparent and damage output becomes far greater.

Currently the only purchasable console, this upgrade creates a Mass Replicator on the lower deck of the Battlecruiser. It is created just above the area that you would drop minerals on to refine them, making it a decent trip from any of the main Consoles. Because of it's costly nature, particularly the 30 Kermiculite, in order for the Mass Replicator to pay itself off it takes an exceedingly large amount of energy, particularly 100000GJ which is a completely full capacitor. Therefore, the main reason the Mass Replicator should be purchased is in order to compensate for a deficit of a particular resource.

The Quality branch of Kinetic Weapons Tier 2 focuses on increasing the damage of the existing projectiles. Though the energy cost of 400 and the firing speed equal to Penta Burst remain the same, the upgrade increases hull damage by 100%, projectile size by 100%, and Debris by 50%. This makes it very effective at striking at the enemy Battlecruiser while shields are down, dealing four shots of 40 hull damage and 8 shield damage, threatening to create a situation where debris may stack up faster than can be removed or even knock out a crew member or two. While shields are up, however, they become mostly ineffective since neither hull damage nor debris can occur.

The Tier 3 version begins to becomes absurdly dangerous. With a 150% increase in both hull and shield damage, it also happens to remove the trademark cone of fire from Kinetic Weapons and also increases the chance of debris by 100%. Though not as efficient against shields as the Kinetic Weapons, Quantity branch, dealing only 16 shield damage per shot, the effective hull damage of 100 becomes enough to rip through a Battlecruiser's hull in seconds, especially at the cost of 400 energy and at the speed of a Penta Burst. The effective Debris caused by the Quality Kinetic Weapons also becomes enough to completely bury a Battlecruiser such that movement becomes near impossible without Repair Stations. However, the moment shields are raised the branch becomes particularly useless since it can only manage 16 x4 shield damage per volley.

The Quantity branch of Kinetic Weapons, Tier 2 serves two purposes; the amount of projectiles increases by 50%, making 6 projectiles total, and a 100% increase in projectile speed. The cost and firing rate remain at 400 energy and roughly the speed of a Penta Burst shot. Due to the increase in both speed and projectiles, it can be considered that this upgrade makes it far simpler to strike smaller, moving objects such as small ships. In terms of overall damage, however, it is not quite as efficient as the Kinetic Weapons, Quality branch.

Kinetic Weapons, Tier 3 takes everything a step further. The number of missiles further increases by 17%, making a total of 7 projectiles, the attack becomes homing, and both hull and shield damage increase by 100%. This makes 7 projectiles striking for 40 hull damage and 16 shield damage. This makes the extensive degree of upgrading quite worth it, especially considering that not only are these projectiles damage efficient but also homing. Kinetic Weapons on the quantity branch becomes a very powerful tool for striking the enemy Battlecruiser or Small Ships whilst they are fleeing. Compared to a Penta Burst in terms of shield damage, however, it is still inferior to the potential 24 x10 laser damage.

Kinetic Weaponry is a second projectile type that excels at dealing hull damage. It can be used at the Weapons Console by switching from Lasers, after which it can be used in the same conventions. Unlike Lasers, Kinetic Weaponry does not fire completely straight and has a tendency to fire in a thin cone instead. It also fires four shots which deal 20 hull damage and 8 shield damage at roughly the same speed as Penta Burst and takes only 400 energy which is less than Triple Burst. The fault in kinetics tier 1, however, is that compared to even the basic laser with no upgrades it will actually deal more hull damage, as each kinetic shot deals 20 x4 vs. the potential 12 x2, one single burst per Battlecruiser wing, on the laser. Even though kinetics will fire faster, the moment Triple Burst and a Upgrade Laser is purchased it becomes inferior in terms of hull damage output since the hefty cost of kinetics tier is roughly the opportunity cost for at least two Laser Upgrades to begin with.

Kinetic Weapons can branch off into two unnamed branches which will be referred to as Kinetic Weapons, Quantity and Kinetic Weapons, Quality. Both have particular benefits that can serve better in a given situation. Consequentially, Kinetic Weapons Tier 1 most often is simply used as a stepping stone to greater heights.

No matter what burst is selected, the Battlecruiser will fire that burst from each of it's wings, doubling the number of lasers shot. Kinetic Weapons must be unlocked through research and can be teched into one of two branches after the first upgrade. Unlike lasers, it's projectiles will originate from the center of the Battlecruiser instead of the wings. Kinetic Weapons are designed to deal greater amounts of hull damage, while laser weaponry is designed to combat shields. If more Missiles are made available while the drone is loading, it will attempt to fill its inventory first if the Missile is closer than the loading bay.
It can be fired at any time, with no delay, dealing 800 hull damage and 1000 shield damage and an astonishing 15% damage to the target's remaining core. Firing is instantaneous, but the Yamato Cannon must be re-armed from science after each usage. Combined with Sabretooth Heavy Missiles, it becomes readily possible to destroy an enemy's Power Management with only one or two shots of the Yamato Cannon.

Whytedragon:

In a sense one of the most skill based stations, the power console controls the flow of energy in your Battlecruiser towards your shields, engine power, weapon capacitor, and main capacitor. It is also exceedingly far from all other stations on the ship, making each trip to it cost a large chunk of time. You are able to alter your energy configuration by either increasing or decreasing output into engines, shields, or weapons by 5GW/s with no maximum output and a minimum output of 0GW/s, except for weapons which has a minimum of -20GW/s so long as your weapon capacitor has energy, where all excess energy then flows into your Battlecruiser's main capacitor. Both the main and weapon capcitor have a maximum of 100,000GJ storage value.

The Battlecruiser has a basic energy production value of 145GW/s which can be directed as you wish. It is possible to increase this value by either researching Fusion Core or by increasing core output, which is also controlled from the power console. Core output can range anywhere from 0% to 200%, where 105% neither increases or decreases your core's stability. By increasing your core output, your ship's energy production will increase by 5% from its 100% value rounded down. If your core output exceeds 105%, however, your core stability will begin to lower exponentially based upon how large your core output is. Inversely, lowering your core output below 105% will increase your core stability exponentially as your core output lowers. As your core stability lowers, your Battlecruiser will begin to malfunction. If your core stability ever hits 0%, your Battlecruiser will immediately self destruct.

On top of the above, the power console also has two special abilities. Shield boost, which is unlocked by researching Hardened Shields, immediately increases your shields by 750 per level of Hardened Shields, your maximum shields by 50%, and your shield regeneration rate by 50% for 10 seconds. Emergency Shield Energizer (ESE) can only be activated when shields are down and you're still supplying power into shields. While active, ESE will increase force shields to continue to regenerate even after they've been lowered and even increase shield regeneration by 50%. In exchange, ESE drains 0.5% core stability per second of usage.

Small Ships docked on the Battlecruiser will also provide the energy regeneration they would normally have out in space to their Battlecruiser instead. This is also inclusive of the Vessel Energy Upgrade, meaning that it may be useful to completely fill your hanger with various small ships in order to gain a higher energy production.

Early Game Power
Most experienced teams will have their captain adjust the initial power settings of their Battlecruiser - 20GW/s in weapons, 20GW/s in shields, 100GW/s in engines - at the very start of the game, since supplying power to engines is only necessary if there is an intent to move the Battlecruiser itself. This allows more energy to be stored into the ship's capacitor such that it can be drawn upon in a time of need, such as to repel a rush or to fire at a nearby harassing wraith. If the team holds an interest in chomping, it may serve to put some power into engines so the Battlecruiser can move with the bulky, slow mining ship.

Power in Combat
Likely the most important role during a fight, the power console is responsible for keeping shields up in a fight, providing engines for positioning if required, and making sure the weapons console has sufficient energy to fire at the opposing team throughout the entire engagement. On top of this, enemy Missiles or Yamato Cannons may also fluctuate your core stability, which could call for attention before it sinks to a dangerously low value.

In short, the power console must attend to the needs of the Navigation Console, Weapons Console, and the ship's general well being.

At the beginning of the game the charge number is 0. The Repair Station repairs the BCs hull after being planted, with 3hp/second (without any upgrades) and it also causes damage to nearby Debris. This is the only way to remove them, except regular attacks. Repair Stations cannot placed directly next to each other.

The Repair Station can be upgraded with the Upgrades Console, by using Nanobot Miniaturization. Each upgrade increases the amount of repaired hp by 100%, for a total of 3 times. So the station repairs when fully upgraded 12hp/second which is a quite rate, especially with many stations in use at the same time.

The navigation console is a powerful station which controls the direction and throttle of the Battle cruiser on top of several fulfilling several other minor roles. Not only does the station control the ship's velocity, but it also acts as an early game tool for detection through the use of radar ping. Upgrades will also allow the console to gain access to a multitude of abilities, including Engine Boost, Broadside Lasers, Tractor Beam, Inertial Nullifier Field, and the renowned Yamato Cannon. Navigation is very difficult and requires a lot of knowledge to execute effectively, it is common to let one of your more experienced players handle it.

Early Game Navigation
During the early game phase, the navigation console will primarily be used for Radar Pings in order to detect the positions of various small ships, such as Miners or a potentially deadly Wraith. Normally a battle cruiser will not need to move during the early phases unless the team decides to Chomp, is rushing the opposing team, or is responding to an incoming rush.

Navigation in Combat
Navigation requires a large degree of communication in the midst of a fight because of the amount of utility that revolves around the facing angle of the battle cruiser. Not only does pointing your battle cruiser in a particular direction dictate fight or flight, but it also aims your Broadside Lasers, Yamato Cannon, Missiles, and even the direction in which small ships will launch. Often times the captain will lead from navigation as the direction of the fight will often lie in the hands of the helm.

Advanced Navigation Tactics
Engine Boost is best used to either chase the enemy battle cruiser, or to retreat from it. Engine Boost should never be used for any other reason in combat except those. Each use costs 3000 energy, therefore if you're not doing something useful with the boost, you should not have used it in the first place.

Broadside Lasers are aimed from the port and starboard sides of your Battlecruiser and are a very strong means of DPS in a combat situation. Like any offensive laser, you should not shoot it unless it will land (BE ENERGY EFFICIENT) Note however that you can fire both A and D broadsides at the same time if you are surrounded by a bc and his allied destroyer, Open fire on both kill the destroyer as fast as you can (Or retreat with a boost)

Missle attacks are a coordinated effort between weapons and navigation. While you're aiming your yamato cannon he should be aiming his missles. Its weapons job to shoot all 6 missles quickly, its your job to count each missle fired and turn as soon as your missles and yamato have fired. Immediately when in range open fire with broadsides (Keep an eye on your energy and your weapons cap, if either become extremely low it is your call to engine boost and retreat (Tell power to give you more power to engines to retreat if he has not already)) If your missles and yamato are reloaded, repeat this same process while keeping an eye on the flow of battle. If the fight is not in your favor consider retreat!

Penta Burst is the final tech in terms of Laser quantity. When activated on the Weapons Console, it fires five laser bursts in extremely quick succession at the cost of 1000 energy per shot. Despite being extremely taxing upon energy, it is often required in order to breach an enemy Battlecruiser's shields along with the simultaneous Broadside Lasers during Battlecruiser fights. Under a more energy taxing situation though, it is far more reliable to use Triple Burst or even Single Burst in order to conserve energy.

Triple Burst is a relatively cheap upgrade that allows your Weapons Console to fire Lasers in a triple burst. Overall, the number of shots per second increases noticeably in exchange for the three shots consuming a total of 500 energy, which is far more than the cost of a Single Burst which only consumes 100. On the other hand, the increase in damage per second can often make the difference in some scenarios where you may be forced to kill a Small Ship quickly, or try and force an enemy Battlecruiser to drain more energy on their shields. Compared to Penta Burst, Triple Burst's upgrade, it is a good compromise between damage output and energy efficiency.

The Broadside Lasers are an incredibly powerful tool for dealing damage from the Navigation Console. There are two seperate firing abilities that allow the Battlecruiser to fire from either the left or right side. When firing, the first shot will begin closer to the Battlecruiser's front and slowly progresses along the side until it reaches the back. What is most incredible, however, is that the ability shoots out 5 projectiles that each deal 70 hull and shield damage on a two second cooldown. Furthermore, the ability costs only 800 energy to use, making it likely the most efficient method of dealing damage out of any non-consumable Battlecruiser ability in the game. Ultimately, the difficulty of the Broadside Laser is aiming it, and aligning the Battlecruiser such that it runs parallel to the enemy in order to prepare a clear shot. This makes it far less applicable during a chase scenario, which is ultimately it's greatest weakness.

Upgrade Laser is a key upgrade for combat that heavily increases the damage of your Battlecruiser lasers, even Broadsides. For lasers shot from the Weapons Console, there is a 20% increase per level up to a maximum of 100%. For Broadside Lasers, there is a 5% increase in damage per level up to a maximum of 25%. The effective boost in damage becomes quite noticeable -- not only does it mean your Weapons Console becomes more energy efficient in terms of damage, the increased damage output also causes the enemy Battlecruiser to expend more shields in order to prevent them from falling when they are being shot. As Battlecruiser fights are typically a bout in energy consumption, this makes a heavy impact on your efficiency.

This makes 7 projectiles striking for 40 hull damage and 16 shield damage, nearly striking shields as hard as a Penta Burst for the cost of only 400 energy still. This makes the extensive degree of upgrading quite worth it, especially considering that not only are these projectiles damage efficient but also homing. Kinetic Weapons on the quantity branch becomes a very powerful tool for striking the enemy Battlecruiser or Small Ships whilst they are fleeing, typically requiring no switchover to Laser weaponry again.

The fault in kinetics tier 1, however, is that compared to a fully upgraded laser it will actually deal less hull damage, its 20 vs. the potential 24 after all Upgrade Laser has been researched. The hefty cost of kinetics tier is roughly the opportunity cost for at least two Upgrade Lasers to begin with, bringing it into question if it is worth it unless the later, more expensive techs, will be researched shortly after.
Improved Mining Laser is a key upgrade to a successful economy. By allowing the Miner to gather more quickly, it opens up all other upgrades for a small cost, particularly because of the three Miners each team will begin with. Since mining will continue to prove useful throughout the entire game, especially given the ability to send drones on to perform the task, it is a highly sought after upgrade that is considered essential.

Possessing enhanced thrusters will allow your Small Ships to move more swiftly, and consequentially allow them to chase, escape, and perform their designation much more effectively. More than that, the map can be quite vast for a vessel that moves less than 30m/s, so the boost in speed may also allow for you to execute strategies much more quickly.

Possessing greater Vessel Energy allows for all of your Small Ships to act more effectively; especially the Miner and Minelayer which both possess very high cost abilities. For all offensive ships, it opens up the possibility of firing far more often due to the energy cost of shooting their weapons. Many fights will ultimately come to a test of endurance, and providing sufficient energy to act will often allow a Small Ship to win, or at least survive, an engagement.

Reinforced hull is commonly researched in order to provide superior survivability for a team's Small Ships, particularly the Miner and Wraith. Given no damage upgrades, a Miner with more health will clearly have a better chance at escape and a Wraith, initially starting at only 300 health, will be able to survive a dual much more effectively. Though the effects of reinforced hull may not show as much during the late game, it will have a clear effect during the early game and allow your Miners to survive long enough to give you a decent economy.

Currently the only purchasable console, this upgrade creates a Mass Replicator on the lower deck of the Battlecruiser. It is created just above the area that you would drop minerals on to refine them, making it a decent trip from any of the main Consoles. Because of it's costly nature, particularly the 60 Kermiculite, in order for the Mass Replicator to pay itself off it takes an exceedingly large amount of energy. Therefore, the main reason the Mass Replicator should be purchased is in order to compensate for a deficit of a particular resource.

Gravitic pulse is more favored by Chomper attempting to gather less dense asteroid fields, though it is recommended to get it in along with Core Overdrive. By increasing the radius of the pull, it allows the chomper to spend less time moving around attempting to gather stray asteroids that would normally be just a bit too far. However, the fact of the matter is that asteroids at the very edge of the ability will experience very little pull, meaning that many uses of Gravitic Pull may be required to draw it from the outermost parts of the area of effect.

Core overdrive is a must get for any Chomper seeking out multiple smaller asteroid chains, though it is recommended to get it in along with Gravitic Pulse. By reducing the cooldown of Magnetic Pull, you allow a chomper who would normally sit in a single spot and wait for all asteroids to come to him to do so far more quickly since the limiting factor will likely be the cooldown of Magnetic Pull. In this sense, it allows a Chomper to mine far more efficiently provided the fields he works with aren't too scattered.
