The only available upgrade for the [[Wraith]], upgrade plasma cannon is a method of allowing a wraith to overcome the difficulties of the [[Reinforced Hull]] upgrade which is often researched in order to provide survivability for [[Small Ships]]. Through it, the initial 15 damage to hull and shields a wraith deals can double by the time the upgrade reaches level 5, allowing a wraith to still play effectively even during the late game when a [[Miner]] has doubled it's health.

Upgrading the Plasma Cannon is a method of allowing wraiths to overcome the Reinforced Hull upgrade which is often researched in order to provide survivability for small ships.

Note the wraiths initial damage is 15 hull/15 shield, when this upgrade is maxed it becomes, 21 hull/21 shield.
