The navigation console is located on the [[bridge]] on the [[upper deck]]. The navigation console is where the Battlecruiser is piloted. The console also comes with some extra abilities and weapons. Early on it’s unusual to have a person dedicated to the navigation console.

=Moving the Battlecruiser =

<br>To move the [[Battlecruiser]] power must be routed to the engine system, from the energy console (see [[energy console#engine system]]).
*[[Iron Curtain]] -> console ability & upgrade
It takes a lot of power to move the Battlecruiser.
To save power it’s common practice to fly straight to your destination, ignoring detours around [[asteroid|asteroids]] and also using [[map warp]] to reduce travel time.
Usually the Battlecruiser throttle is left on the maximum setting and the speed regulated from the energy console. Doing this reduces the number of players required to move the Battlecruiser away from its position in dire situations. However its direction will be fixed unless someone changes the angle from the navigation console.
 
 
=Orientation of the Battlecruiser=
Navigation requires a large degree of communication between players because of the amount of utility that revolves around the facing angle of the [[Battlecruiser]].
Not only does pointing the Battlecruiser in a particular direction dictate fight or flight, but it also  aims your [[Broadside Lasers]], [[Yamato Cannon]], [[Missiles]] and even the direction in which [[Small Ships|small ships]] will launch.
Often when you are using the navigation console the [[captain]] will direct you on where to go and how to react to threats.
