Text
- Boost are a combination of abilities unique to the Wraith that give it superior maneuverability.
- Boosts are sometimes referred to as side thrusters.
- Boosts cost 15 energy and lets the wraith change its movement without changing its facing angle
- the side boosts are innate abilities, while the rear boost is unlocked when utility tier 1 is researched from the upgrades console
- When boosting the forward thrust of your ship engines is ignored.
- Boosts are great for dodging projectiles or running away as they provide a more powerful thrust then the main engines at the cost of more energy
- side boost can effectively double your maximum speed however it is extremly energy consuming if constantly used.
Side thrusters (A and D, sometimes called boosts) are a means of quickly moving from side to side, you can use this to dodge or you can use it to accelerate quickly. If you hold down either key or push it consistently you can reach speeds up to 81 meters per second. This allows you to quickly chase a miner who has boosted, to quickly intercept an enemy attacking your miners, or to retreat from a very bad and unsafe situation. Mind your energy each boost you use saps 15 energy.
