The Scanner Sweep is a [[Miner]] upgrade that can be researched at the [[Upgrades Console]] aboard the Battle Cruiser, found in the Miner's section.


It enables all Miners to use the Ability "Scanner Sweep" with a 40 second cooldown. This reveals the type of mineral contained by asteroids in the proximity, by coloring them in the respective colors (yellow for [[Veldite]], blue for [[Chalcorium]], red for [[Pyromanite]] and green for [[Kermiculite]]) for a few seconds. This is visible to every player, allied or enemy.

* Researching Scanner Sweep early can drastically improve your mining efficiency by mining the resources needed to accomplish the next task, and help your team to get a head start.

Penta Burst allows you to fire Lasers in sets of 5 rounds from the [[Weapons Console]].
To activate Penta burst, click "switch to penta burst", then use the weapons console as normal.
 
Penta Burst is the final tech in terms of Laser quantity.  When active the burst will shoot the 5 rounds in quick succession. Despite its energy cost, Pentas are often required to breach an enemy [[Battlecruiser]]s shields along with simultaneous fire from the [[Broadside Lasers|Broadsides]]. The Penta burst is the least energy efficient fire mode for lasers.

*The Penta Burst rounds can detonate plasma charges, stacked on a target using the [[Single Burst|Single Burst]] laser, for extra damage.
*Penta Burst damage is improved by [[Upgrade Laser|upgrading lasers]].

Description Unlocks Scanner Sweep.
