Penta Burst allows you to fire Lasers in sets of 5 rounds from the Weapons Console. To activate Penta burst, click "switch to penta burst", then use the weapons console as normal.

Penta Burst is the final tech in terms of Laser quantity. When active the burst will shoot the 5 rounds in quick succession. Despite its energy cost, Pentas are often required to breach an enemy Battlecruisers shields along with simultaneous fire from the Broadsides. The Penta burst is the least energy efficient fire mode for lasers.

Some features of Penta Burst:

• The Penta Burst rounds can detonate plasma charges, stacked on a target using the single burst laser, for extra damage.
• Penta Burst damage is improved by upgrading lasers.
• Penta Burst energy cost can be reduced by Tier 3 offensive.
• You don't need to have Triple Burst researched to upgrade Penta burst
