Overview

- Your Battlecruiser starts with 3 Wraiths docked in the Hangar.
- The Wraith is an agile offensive small ship with high engine speeds and high maneuverability due to its quick turning rate and side boost abilities.
- Wraiths are used in hit and run gorilla tactics against enemy Miners, escort missions for friendly Miners or as scouts to find Mineral fields or the enemy Battlecruiser.
- Relative inexpensive fighter.

Uses & Tactics
- Wraiths should foremost harass the enemies economy by attacking enemy Miners and/or destroying enemy Cargo Drones. As a Wraith pilot you don't need to kill enemy Miners but rather hinder them from collecting Minerals, but if the opportunity arises go for the kill. However Wraiths can also be responsible for engaging enemy fighter waves against your teams Miners.
- Wraiths should engage enemies only when they have been properly supplied with energy, request power transfers from the Battlecruiser science console and always be mindful of your energy levels. Avoid wasting energy from unnecessary side boosts and attacks.
- Use the Wraiths, Miner Ping ability, to locate enemy miners, and use the Battlecruisers Radar Ping to plan routes around enemy fighters
- Wraiths pilots should work as a team with one another!
- Utilize the wraiths boost abilities, note however that boosts drain energy;
- use side boost to dodge incoming fire or collisions.
- use side boost to flee a lethal situation.
- When attacking, go in from below. The view is greater above ships and smaller below.
- Hold shift and F (fire plasma cannon hotkey) to get a reliable volly of attacks against miners.
Tips
- Wraith vs Miner: Emp Miners before they turbo jump to get extra damage, line up the wraith and attack in devestating vollies. Try to approach Miners such that you block off their retreat to the Battlecruiser. Make sure to also EMP Miners Cargo Drones to slow them down then finish them off with Plasma Cannon.
- Wraith vs Chomper: Keep your distance and avoid the Chomper from Chomping your Wraith, and be wary of a nearby enemy Battlecruiser which will provide small ship and weapon console support. EMP the Chomper when its engines are full or if its about to dock with low hull to gain time to finish it off.

- Wraith vs Corvette: keep a distance between the enemy corvette; use boosts and high speed to fire at long range at the enemy; time your emps both to slow the corvette trying to close the distance and around the corvettes shield.

Side thrusters (A and D, sometimes called boosts) are a means of quickly moving from side to side, you can use this to dodge or you can use it to accelerate quickly. If you hold down either key or push it consistently you can reach speeds up to 81 meters per second. This allows you to quickly chase a miner who has boosted, to quickly intercept an enemy attacking your miners, or to retreat from a very bad and unsafe situation. Mind your energy each boost you use saps 15 energy.
