Improved Hull
Improved hull can be upgraded infinitely many times, only the first 4 upgrades will be show below. When upgraded the Battlecruiser instantly gains the extra hull. Having a large hull capacity means that in an equal fight in terms of energy consumption and damage output, the Battlecruiser with more health will win.
Improved hull however is one of the less desirable upgrades, since hull tanking is not particularly effective. Most Battlecruier fights come down to a contest of energy and that's why alternative upgrades are usually taken. Still this upgrade does win rounds, giving that boost of hull needed to survive.
Note that improved hull only effects the Battlecruisers, to upgrade small ships hull, research reinforced hull.
