Core overdrive is a must get for any Chomper seeking out multiple smaller asteroid chains, though it is recommended to get it in along with Gravitic Pulse. By reducing the cooldown of Magnetic Pull, you allow a chomper who would normally sit in a single spot and wait for all asteroids to come to him to do so far more quickly since the limiting factor will likely be the cooldown of Magnetic Pull. In this sense, it allows a Chomper to mine far more efficiently provided the fields he works with aren't too scattered.
