Penta Burst is the final tech in terms of Laser quantity. When activated on the Weapons Console, it fires five laser bursts in extremely quick succession at the cost of 1000 energy per shot. Despite being extremely taxing upon energy, it is often required in order to breach an enemy Battlecruiser's shields along with the simultaneous Broadside Lasers during Battlecruiser fights. Under a more energy taxing situation though, it is far more reliable to use Triple Burst or even Single Burst in order to conserve energy.
