Transfer upgrade swapping

When you choose Ionic transfer you are stuck with what you've got, that is acceptable but i believe there should be a way to swap to another upgrade for a price, a reduced price from the initial purchase but a price that will keep you from swapping all game long also. Certain stages of the game make for effective use of each of the transfers, i think it would be beneficial to everybody for transfers to be re upgraded for a reduced price all game long. Well, the mutual exclusiveness was baked into the 'balance' of the abilities. If you could re-spec, nanite would probably need to be nerfed, otherwise there's the risk of every game being 'buy nanite early', 'go harass the enemy miners', 'switch to ionic once destroyers come out', 'ionic destroyers woooo'. Nanite is intentionally powerful early game because it's weaksauce late game.

ive already proposed a means of nanite nerfing :p but destroyers still cant kill a wraith with nanite unless the destroyer has ionic and the wraith is a dipshit. No matter how fast the destroyer travels his projectile is still very easy to dodge on a wraith. The ability to move sideways makes that homing worthless. This wouldnt be a free transition and would allow for a larger variety of strategy as well as a form of countering whatever strategy they are using. If they go ionic corvette and you have nanite corvette you cant die but you will be out ran and you will lose the race to your allies, allowing a transition in strategy allows for balance in that situation.

i agree...i tried plasma, i wanted my money back after it didnt work xD, maby you can buy each one and the first one will be your main, but people will stack energy transfers unless something is done where you cant have more then one (in my opinion they should blow up because of the craziness of mixing volitile chemicles but that would be a little over the top)
and it should cost a small amount to switch between energies
5Y for ionic
5B for nanite
5R for plazma

To be clear my suggestion is not being able to purchase two at once, but to be able to switch for a small cost and lose the other one.

I got Ionic! Uh oh, they have started using a chomper escorted by a manned bc, i need the nanite to survive harassment. Ill spend a fraction of the price, Lose ionic and get Nanite.

I don't see what nanite has to do with dodging the destroyer's projectiles. If you mean dodging most of them and regenerating the health, quantum leech will ensure that you don't dodge the next volley

Quantum leech, kinetic 3, and the tractor beam are the big reasons why nanite stops being useful late game, not because the heal is only 25 or 20 hp/s. Though I have no objection to it scaling with the ship it's on, it's still contending with an order of magnitude more DPS.

its not meant to be a solution, its meant to be an Aid. it by no means will save your life but if you intelligently maneuver you can survive now. Or at least make them waste a lot of energy in pursuit.

As for the post about nanite i was making it clear that a destroyer cant hit a wraith unless he blows, even with ionic. so long as ss energy is leveled up you can dodge anything xD. I want to be able to counter somebodies energy transfer method, if they go ionic corvette id do the same thing.

this isnt a free exchange especially seeing as some transfers are more expensive than others, different swaps would cost different amounts. Im just stating there should be a way to buy a different transfer not be stuck with what you chose 10 mins in.
