power management ai

Post by Jannik2099 »

hate it to have not enough players? the power guy is kidding you all? i have the solution. when you read the topic, you think of 5 months of coding right? have found an easy way. this ai dont control itself. you control it with the chat. if a player writes something, it will do that. here's the list of commands:
Engines/Shields/Weapons to xxx= set the power to xxxGW
Engines/Shields/Weapons - xxx= reduces power by xxxGW
Engines/Shields/Weapons + xxx= inscreases power by xxxGW

Interesting... But the first thing that came to mind is 'What about slow typers'? Also, what happens if someone does a number like 'weapons to 500000001?

>.> how about navigation ai,

-direction 45
-engines 100%
-boost

dunno, imma think power ai is a little bit op, even if u make it up/down power slowly, just like a real engineer would. There'll no longer be requirement for a second man on bc >.>
47.3% of all statistics are made up on the spot...

oh i dunno, ive thought about ai, they would of course would preset to 20 engines 10 sheilds and 80 weps as an option and when a BC gets close they can jack something up (sheilds to 400) and lower once % energy reserves get low and if navigation needs to get somewhere they could put engines to 50, 100 and 200 for escaping.

Coding Coding Coding
although i agree with jannik with having ai react to commands. That would help more then hinder...and lets face it, you need some high WPM to deal with this CC game

in this game? most likely not, this game just needs human ingenuity, of course they could give us hell and and higher difficulties they could have bonuses like extra hitpoints and damage and more resources when refined =O

And speaking of AI, missiles could be used by them, they should fire if BC was lined up. (0.5 seconds between each one of course) or if BC is lined up after a ping an AI can fire

you'd be surprised what can be accomplished with heavy code.
