id be willing to bet corinthian and players like him would not spend the money on the drone in a 6v6 even if it were lowered, the minerals have other places to be that take more priority over having an ai transfer your unrefined goods. even if it were made cheaper i wouldn't do it unless the enemy team had too many combat ships on us at once, and we needed the extra man, but even then id just have him halt refining and go to the defense.

now that drones are significantly more usefull and players are relying on them alot more do you think we should reduce overall cost of drones? (first cost 150Y 30G and +50Y 10G on up like normal)
now i may be baised towards drones because i always like having a missile drone and refiner drone then later on maby 1-3 miner drones. recently i use drone for weps console as well. and plus i like seeing ai do their masters bidding MUAHAHAHAHA!!!

just add a voting checkbox at starting screen to get a drone, and if 51% votes that, drone is added to both teams, if 49% votes - drone is not added to both teams and if 50% votes for and 50% against - do an [if(random(0,1) == 1) add drone]

Drones first cost is cheap enough to be smart now, i think this thread has received what it wanted and the problem is fixed.

Ye, well, still rather not have such a feature, cause earlier first refining drone was something that can turn the fight over, cause team that is weak-at-soul buys it early or mid-game, wastes important minerals and then loses to the team that is strong-at-will, and that keeps human refining till later game :p.
But o'well, what's done is done.

would happen either way at least now its cheaper :p less men on deck means more manpower in space which can mean a 4th miner, which can make up for the loss. Otherwise more combat ships = weaker enemy economy which is another means of getting your investment back.

It all depends to me on if your manpower on deck is WORTH getting off deck xD if i have a talentless dipshit refining and pinging id rather keep him there. but if its a player that will make himself useful ill certainly invest in a drone when smart to do so, to get him out and doing something more useful than picking things up and putting them down.
