Consoles Breaking, Game Breaking
So, we all know about trolls and griefers - and how we can remove them. Votekick; seems simple, right?
One little problem: If your griefer happens to be on a console when you kick him, the console becomes permanently unusable. For example: If Dbag2000 is on your power trying to blow the core, you have very little time to react. IF you can votekick (and get the votes FOR in time) then power is stuck at whatever he left it at. I just had this happen with our nav. station, and it presented many difficulties.
Until now (now being, I'm back on the forums) I've been teaching people to use the 'disconnect from console' ability before votekick initializes. This has its own problems though - - it requires not one but two people to be on deck, which usually wont happen since the one who should be kick is supposed to be that second person. (I know...I'm rambling...)
Suggestion: Add some trigger that resets all player owned assets to neutral upon their leaving. Beacons/consoles specifically.
Although I do enjoy the challenge of figuring out how to win without a nav or weapons or even power station, its pretty much a gamebreaker if the enemy knows what their doing.
Thanks for all the work. I'll keep promoting and playing till these fingers break!

Thanks for reporting it, I'll investigate it.
Never ignore coincidence. Unless, of course, you’re busy. In which case, always ignore coincidence.

Bump: I've looked around and I cant find the reason for this. Fortunately, I already have a lot of invisible debug messages in place, but I need to get the replay of this. If you could upload them somewhere and link me, it would be much easier for me to debug this.

Re: Consoles Breaking, Game Breaking
This just happened in a game, a newbie was headed in the direction of power but got votekicked out before he could get there. The power console ended up being locked for the rest of the game.
Weird I think, beacuse he never actually made it to the beacon.

"Why are we still moving towards it?"

That sounds bad. Could you publish the replay or send it to me on Skype when I get home.
