I kind of like your sudden death rule. If you've been forced to run, you should be back on your feet by then.

Re: Cruiser Command Tournament 1/6 - 2013
I feel like the problem with a double elimination format for this tournament is that it's only one evening. Playing potentially 7 games in one evening(even if some of them are played at the same time) is going to be tight. It could take around 7 hours.
Again, I would really like to do another tournament after this summer, which will be bigger and possibly stretch over several days. If that is the case, I'll consider double elimination.

Never ignore coincidence. Unless, of course, you’re busy. In which case, always ignore coincidence.

i extremely agree with the sudden death rule, as i only have 3 hours after the tournament starts to play.
any chance we can extend this over two days? probably not. anyways i dont really expect to make it past the first round against CCA, but i will try anyways. as such i probably have time for only one or two games. which sucks. god damnit.
EDIT: also NO DOUBLE ELIMINATION PLEASE

Don't forget the losers of round 1 have to fight for the 3rd and 4th place.Siretu wrote:![]()

Re: Cruiser Command Tournament 1/6 - 2013
If you do a lot of practicing and play this often and get friends to play, you will 1) be able to match any subset of CCA given the hard work, and 2) increase the player base. So, play some more gamesCannonfodder wrote:i extremely agree with the sudden death rule, as i only have 3 hours after the tournament starts to play.any chance we can extend this over two days? probably not. anyways i dont really expect to make it past the first round against CCA, but i will try anyways. as such i probably have time for only one or two games. which sucks. god damnit.

Re: Cruiser Command Tournament 1/6 - 2013
Okay, so here's the lineup for CCA's teams. I hope it's okay that I post this. The tournament is in half a day and people need to know who they're up against.
CCA1:
Corinthian
Goldenboy
Sky
Tivonal
SkyBlade
Humanlisk
CCA2:
Phaeroth
Zakhennahr
Acidburn
Crowbar
DumbMarine
WhyteDragon
Although all teams are free to alter their lineup up until the first game.
