While miners, wraiths and corvettes can die all day (and a little to easily) the big ships have a real impact on making use of what they are worth, I say a separate upgrade for them that will reduce the price to oh say...30% and Destroyer ONLY around 40% off on green. Otherwise I like the idea, allows for a lot more of small ship battles!
I don't get the logic on that. "Oh, they often die a lot so only they should have the option to salvage?" The whole point is creating an option to salvage ships that normally do not die.

I fully disagree.

oh woops I read that wrong :?
I thought it meant to reduce the cost of buying a ship
ok so salvage....I just don't think salvage is truly needed, why buy something that is salvaged later when you can use it for energy or a crazy suicide mission? yes get rid of ships because hangar is full, there are 8 slots, your choice to buy those extra chompers for that energy and I sorta look down on people who don't see things in long term and a way for an easy out...salvage....
srry if that sounded evil but hey, theres an evil dictator in all of us...we just don't know it yet,
same with the obsession of Lord of the Rings....
Oh its not orders I'm giving, but rather... "aggressive suggestions".

Suicide missions take a lot of time and energy to perform. You either need to find an appropriate object to ram against or an enemy willing to actually kill you. This can take up to several minutes -- for each craft.

Creating a 'salvaging' method opens up the opportunity for a more diverse set of strategies by quickly exchanging ships within your hanger, I.E. transitioning from heavy economy to a power dock.
