l remember seeing a while back seeing something about making the tractor beam move with the mouse.. And that that it would cause a lot of lag, as you'd have to get the mouse pos every time it moved and you can't just make it move to where ever the mouse is at the time.
There's actually an action called 'Turn Trigger On/Off' which.. Acts as disabling or enabling a trigger in the editor, as far as l know. Was wondering if you could use this to only have the trigger on when a player is using the tractor beam to reduce lag? l haven't actually done any testing, obviously, and this obviously wouldn't decrease lag during the tractor beam.. But l think it'd be something nice that could be used in other scenarios.

Re: Tractor Beam things and such
The problem is that when it's on, it will cause a lot of lagg. It basically means that BCvBC battles are close to unplayable if one team is using a tractor beam. It was my initial idea, and it was actually live for a while, but it just didn't work and people wanted me to remove it.
Never ignore coincidence. Unless, of course, you’re busy. In which case, always ignore coincidence.

What if recasting the tractor beam while it was out made it go toward the new location?
"Why are we still moving towards it?"
"We're caught in a tractor beam! It's pulling us in!"
