Lets buff corvette so people use it more...
What if you could cast defensive matrix on other units? For example, you could cast it on a miner who is trying to escape being killed by wraiths.
Corvette defensive matrix able to be cast on other players
Re: Corvette defensive matrix able to be cast on other playe
I am going to vote "no" for now, since the corvette is going to be buffed by receiving a "boost" ability already, lets see how that changes things first
also, there really aren't many small ship target-able abilities.. not quite sure how it would work

corvette isnt the freindly type IMO, it wants to get up close and personal, give that ability to the subjucater ^^
Oh its not orders I'm giving, but rather... "aggressive suggestions".
Re: Corvette defensive matrix able to be cast on other playe
EMP missile can be blocked by asteroids/flares/etc. and is more of a line projectile than a target-able ability.. or do you propose having the corvette shield also be block-able by asteroids/etc. and dodge-able?bbot wrote:There is EMP missile, but otherwise I appreciate the feedback
really the only target-able abilities are the chomper's chomp and the miner's mine.. and that is so that they can target asteroids (and while they do work vs enemy ships.. only while the ship is stationary, so again, not what you are describing..)

Re: Corvette defensive matrix able to be cast on other playe
Yes, but the very fact that the mechanic exists that a chomper can chomp an enemy ship means that abilities can be created which target ships specifically. I think its more of a matter of "should" the ability work that way (and the amount of dev effort involved) rather than if it can be done on a technical level.
