Hypothetical Defensive tiers.

Post by Rohan »

T1
Corvette reflective shield, reflects directly back at target. (but can still be avoided)
Damage bleed through shield occurs at lower levels.

T2

all pings, (from all ships including Wraith). Show all ships, including infiltrator.
Ship Turret detect stealth and deal more damage. (last suggestion could be replaced with longer range and more hp)

T3

BC cloaking device.
(it drains power, reduces shields to 100 amd dont regen, and disables weps while active)
Should be activated on weps console. Duration, limited only by power, but can be turned off. Cooldown should be long.

Cloaking and decloaking should take a few secs. In which weps are active, but shields still on low power.
For Gondor!!!

can the BC be shot at while cloaked? will the subjugator detect it?

Small ships can, its just they are very hard to see, with the BC i think it will be a disadvantage when they cloak because they loose some capabilities...
You merely adopted Cruiser Command. I was born in it, molded by it.

One day a wise man introduced me to this game. "It shall protect your virginity, my lad" he said.

Im overall not a fan of adding abilities via tier upgrades, tweeking numbers (and lately adding ships) is in my opinion a better way to handle tier upgrades, and allow you to choose if you want all the abilities or dont even want to bother spending for them to further customize and develope the teams battlecruiser.

Would you rather go back to the really really old way, (ie WC3) and eliminate tiers and have consoles and limit the amount of turrets you can get.

Actually that gives me another idea.
BC start out with nothing but missiles and Shields.
No ping, no energy transfer, no lasers.
For Gondor!!!
