@Terry: No, I barely know Vicboy. Vicboy left and handed the map over to Probe. Probe is the one I know.

@Dreadnought: Yup, that's the problem with games with anonymous players. Plus with starter edition being free...yeah that killed The Thing.

The Thing is easy to troll, Cruiser Command is very difficult, and veterans will be very fast to catch on to that sort of thing and ban the perpetrator.

The barrier on votekicking is so high in The Thing that it nearly never succeeds and can additionally only be done before the start of the actual game, which means you're only able to catch known trolls.
People who just created a new free account cannot be caught and kicked that way, unlike CC, where votekicking is available throughout the game.

Nope; trolling is not current the issue for CC. I think the main problem is that its such a big lobby to fill on an already unpopular game...so anyone that joins just insta leaves. I honestly have no idea how you managed to get this game going in the beginning. Anyway, one thing that the Koreans do is when they open a lobby just give each team 3 AI's so that when people join they know that you don't need to fill 12 slots.

Ah good to hear it is still going. I haven't played since August. Can't wait to come back once this semester is over.
