AI command glitches. After issuing orders, they change.
AI command glitches. After issuing orders, they change.
OK So I was playing the tutorial by myself to check things out. I mined enough minerals and refined them until I could get an AI to refine for me. Then I mined more so I could get another AI. Eventually I had 4 AI going, 3 mining and 1 refining. But there was a problem...
I had plenty of red so...
I would issue orders for the first ai to gather yellow, blue, and green..
I then would issue orders for the second ai to gather yellow, blue, and green.
I then issued orders for the third ai to gather yellow, blue, and green.
Then I went ahead and made the fourth ai as a refiner. But then, if i click on the first 3 ai, they all were set to refine as well!
I repeated, and the same thing happened.
Hope this helps.
I will absolutely help with the tutorial because I feel the tutorial is vital to the success of this game. Having to teach noobs takes the fun out a lot of the time.

its weird how the console is set up but where they actually refining?
Oh its not orders I'm giving, but rather... "aggressive suggestions".

This isnt a bug, the Selection button will remember your last choice. If you check the top left with AI's status, you'll see they are all actually doing what they are supposed to be doing. At least I believe so.

I'll test that and see.

The "bug" is that the selection windows doesn't properly refresh when you select another drone.
It's not bugged as all of your 4 drones would suddenly start refining, they remember their settings, but the drone console doesn't.

Degra is correct - there is, at best, some delay between selecting a different drone and when its actual current orders appear. There would be a problem, however, if you DID go check and your 4 drones were all at refining....
One thing to note about mining drones: Set them to mine all 4 mineral types or they may not recognize the types they aren't mining. Translation: they will crash and die. Unless that's been fixed...

It hasn't been fixed, it's on my to-do list though!
Never ignore coincidence. Unless, of course, you’re busy. In which case, always ignore coincidence.
