Ramming Shield Boost fail

So I'm in a game, at the end during the big final fight. I really feel we should've won. I wasn't Captain so I don't know what upgrades we had/did not have; however, for that fight I was on power management.

We got them into the red, they knocked our shields out and I still had like a 10s CD on shield boost. They started to ram us. Even though their shield had gone out, when they rammed us their shield lit up, but ours did not. Shield boost CD went to Zero, I hit X or whatever then pressed Shield Boost, but nothing happened...

Maybe it's a bug, maybe it's not.Definitely seemed like it though.

The problem is that you activated the shield boost right after activating the emergency shield. The emergency shield only updates the next energy tick so it can take up to 0.5s before it activates. Therefore, you used the shield boost when you had no shield and the shield didn't go up.
