Patch 2.9 published
Today I published patch 2.9. Go me!
Some important features are: reworked wraith, smarter mining AI (it now considers map wrapping for its path) and a huge speed boost for all small ships.
Full patch notes:
2.9(15/10 - 2013):
- Reduced emergency miner timer from 1 minute to 30 seconds.
- Fixed wraith timer to actually be 2 minutes.
- Wraith sight radius increased from 12 to 16.
- Increased Wraith health from 270 to 300.
- Increased Wraith damage from 10 to 12.
- Reduced the amount of Wraith damage upgrades from 5 to 4
- Increased Wraith damage upgrade’s damage percentage from 20% to 25%.
- Possibly fixed the Ghost Yamato glitch.
- Made the Wraith’s weapon into a double projectile weapon.
- Increased the speed of the Wraith’s plasma cannon from 10 to 18.
- Added several improvements to the mining AI.
- Radar ping has been moved from navigation to science console.
- AI drones ordered to use the science console will now use radar ping automatically.
- Replaced the Counter-Missile item with a new item: Decoy Flares.
- Mining AI should now use the map wrapping intelligently while turbo jumping, returning home and searching for asteroid fields.
- Reduced miner cost from 75b, 75y to 60b, 60y
- Increased the boost of Wraith’s side boosts by 35%
- Increased speed of all small ships by 40%~.
- Increased projectile speed of BC lasers and kinetic by 50%.
- The infiltrator can no longer repair by boarding the enemy BC.
- Ionic transfer now increases speed by 40% instead of 50%.
- There are now only 4 small ship speed upgrades.

Re: Patch 2.9 published
and.... the new wraiths are super-strong in the hands of zak
I noticed a bug where an allied AI miner was near a corner of the map with an asteroid - it would start to mine for a second, then cancel and try to move, then start to mine again, and looped liked that until I mined the asteroid for it
now in the early game it's a tough call where to send an AI, science or weapons, since both can be useful now (which I think is a good thing)
everything seems so fast now.. except for destroyer projectiles.. hard to comment on the changes, but I will see in a few more games

Re: Patch 2.9 published
Hmm, yeah. I'm interested to see how the wraith changes turns out.
The miner bug should be fixed now. See this thread for more info: http://cruisercommand.com/forum/viewtop ... f=10&t=698
I hope the speed change works out okay.

Re: Patch 2.9 published
that doesn't seem to be my issue.. at 21 minutes into the replay, look at the far top-right corner of the space map:

on the other hand.. the corv balances it out

Re: Patch 2.9 published
Oh, it's not really the same symptoms, but I am quite sure I fixed something at the same time that looked exactly like the bug you're describing. Are you sure you've encountered this after my previous reply?

that replay is from the 20th, so 2 days ago, playing the newest patch at the time - unless you changed something since then...Siretu wrote:Oh, it's not really the same symptoms, but I am quite sure I fixed something at the same time that looked exactly like the bug you're describing. Re: Patch 2.9 published
I uploaded 2.91 (doesn't show up on patch notes) late on the 20th. I'll consider it fixed, but if you (or someone else) encounters it again, tell me and I'll do another investigation.

Re: Patch 2.9 published
stupid question, but where am I supposed to see that patch in sc2? (like when I create a game/view a replay?)Siretu wrote:I uploaded 2.91 (doesn't show up on patch notes) late on the 20th. Re: Patch 2.9 published
You can't, I think. I didn't really bother writing a new patch note for it. You could possibly see the internal patch number (which might be something like 1.1102 or such). Unfortunately, this doesn't really correspond to my patch numbers (2.91 etc), so it doesn't mean much if you don't remember the previous one.
