Navigation Console
The navigation console is located on the bridge on the upper deck. The navigation console is where the Battlecruiser is piloted. The console also comes with some extra abilities and weapons. Early on it’s unusual to have a person dedicated to the navigation console. When you access the navigation console, you will be put into "space view" and given control of your teams Battlecruiser.

Moving the Battlecruiser

To move the Battlecruiser, energy must be routed to the engines system from the energy console.
It takes a lot of energy to move the Battlecruiser.
To save energy it’s common practice to fly straight to your destination, ignoring detours around asteroids and also using map warp to reduce travel time.
Usually the Battlecruiser throttle is left on its maximum setting and the speed regulated from the energy console. Doing this reduces the number of players required to move the Battlecruiser away from its position, which can be helpful in dire situations. However the Battlecruisers direction will be fixed unless someone changes the angle from the navigation console.

Orientation of the Battlecruiser
Using the navigation console requires a large degree of communication between players because of the amount of utility that revolves around the facing angle of the Battlecruiser. Not only does pointing the Battlecruiser in a particular direction dictate fight or flight, but it also aims your Broadside Lasers, Yamato Cannon, Missiles and even the direction in which small ships will launch. Often when you are using the navigation console the captain will direct you on where to go and how to react to threats.
