Firing the broadsides lasers, that are unlocked from the upgrades console, is done from the navigation console using the "Fire Left/Right Broadside Laser" ability. There are 2 separate abilities, each used to fire broadsides on different sides of the Battlecruiser.
When firing, the first shot will begin closer to the Battlecruisers front and slowly progress down along the side until it reaches the back. The broadsides always shoot an array of 5 lasers, each laser deals 70 hull/70 shields damage .
