The Broadside Lasers are an incredibly powerful tool for dealing damage from the [[Navigation Console]]. There are two seperate firing abilities that allow the [[Battlecruiser]] to fire from either the left or right side. When firing, the first shot will begin closer to the [[Battlecruiser]]'s front and slowly progresses along the side until it reaches the back. What is most incredible, however, is that the ability shoots out 5 projectiles that each deal 70 hull and shield damage on a two second cooldown. Furthermore, the ability costs only 800 energy to use, making it likely the most efficient method of dealing damage out of any non-consumable [[Battlecruiser]] ability in the game. Ultimately, the difficulty of the Broadside Laser is aiming it, and aligning the [[Battlecruiser]] such that it runs parallel to the enemy in order to prepare a clear shot. This makes it far less applicable during a chase scenario, which is ultimately it's greatest weakness.

The engine boost ability is activated from the [[Navigation Console|navigation console]]. Engine boost is a very powerful, energy efficient method of temporarily increasing your [[Battlecruiser]]s speed by a large degree. Once researched at the [[Upgrades Console|upgrades console]], the ability will become readily available. While active, your Battlecruiser will accelerate at an exceedingly fast rate up to a speed of 60.8m/s in addition to your Battlecruisers speed based on [[Energy Console#Engines|engines]] output. This also works in accordance with [[Enhanced Stabilisers]], which will cause engine boost to raise your speed by an entire 81m/s if your [[Enhanced Stabilisers|Stabilisers]] are maxed. As such, engine boost easily becomes a powerful asset for your [[Battlecruiser]]s movement.
