Ability

Firing the broadsides lasers, that are unlocked from the upgrades console, is done from the navigation console using the "Fire Left/Right Broadside Laser" ability. There are 2 separate abilities, each used to fire broadsides on different sides of the Battlecruiser.
When firing, the first shot will begin closer to the Battlecruisers front and slowly progress down along the side until it reaches the back. The broadsides always shoot an array of 5 lasers, each laser deals 70 hull/70 shields damage . Broadside laser damage can be increased by upgrading lasers and its energy cost can be reduced by researching Tier 3 offensive.
The difficulty of the Broadside Laser is aiming it, aligning your Battlecruiser such that the target runs parallel to you. This makes broadsides obsolete during chases.
