Tier Upgrades

An important aspect of upgrading is the tier upgrades.
Upgrading higher level tiers unlocks upgrades, unlocks higher levels of upgrades and provides bonus to your team.
There are 3 different types of tiers (economy, utility and offensive) and each type has 3 separate levels tier 1, tier 2, tier 3(t1, t2 and t3).
Your team can pick any kind of tier each level, but only 1 for each level.
Thus there are 9 total tier upgrades and each level you are given 1 out of the 3 unique types to choose from.

  • note: tier upgrades have unique level upgrades. i.e once you have upgraded level 1 of any type of tier you cannot research another level 1 type. i.e You COULD NOT research economy t1 and offensive t1, sorry but you have to choose just 1.
  • note: tier upgrades types are independent, but tier upgrade levels are not; economy t2 DOES NOT have a prerequisite of economy t1, i.e you don't have to research economy t1 to research economy t2 but you must have researched tier 1 (t1) to progress to tier 2 (t2). Thus if you wanted economy t2 you would have to research any of the available t1 upgrades (economy t1, utility t1 or offensive t1).
  • note: Higher tier upgrades of the same kind don't replace the benefits of the lower tier, i.e if I research t1 utility and t2 utility I would receive the bonus from BOTH of the tiers.

Upgrades Console

General Information

The Upgrade Console is located on the upper deck at the Bridge. The console is the source of all research and tech in the game. Through it, you can gain access to a multitude of abilities that will support your small ships and Battlecruiser. In order to successfully complete research, the console user must remain stationed on the console for the entire upgrade duration; failing to do this will cancel and refund the upgrade. All upgrades cost a combination of minerals that increase as you raise in upgrade level.

The Hanger

The hanger is located on the lower deck of the Battlecruiser. The hanger has 6 hanger consoles that anyone on your team can use. The hanger consoles allow players to launch, load/unload items, buy and salvage small ships.

  • ADD PICS OF HANGER

Hanger Console

The hanger console is like any other console to use (to access a console see this). The hanger console UI however is far different than other consoles and can be quite confusing at first.

Launching A Small Ship

To launch a small ship from the Hanger console, simply select the ship you want to launch by clicking it and then click the large "launch" button bot left of the UI. You cannot launch a ship that has already been taken (by player or AI) or a ship that is reconstructing (after being destroyed). Ships that have already been taken will have a launch icon () displayed at the bot left corner of the ships icon, while reconstructing ships have a countdown timer displayed over them.

Launching your small ship from one of the hanger consoles on the left side will spawn your small ship on the left side of the Battlecruiser and the inverse for the right side. This spawning on specific sides is important during battles where you want your small ships to safely launch and not be under enemy fire. Newly launched ships are always at full hull and only have a small amount of stored energy, this is because when ships dock with the battlecruiser they are instantly repaired and there stored energy is drained to the battlecruisers core. After launching, your small ship gains no collision while close to your Battlecruiser and there is a 12second wait time before you can dock.

Loading/Unloading Items into Small Ships

To load and unload items into small ships you first need to know what a loading pad is. there are 6 load pads for each hanger console, they are represented by the blue circles.

  • ADD PIC HIGHLIGHT LOAD PAD

Loading and unloading items from small ships is done from the hanger console. items to be loaded onto a selected ship are dropped on top of one of the hanger load pads, then from the hanger console the option to "Deposit all items on the pad into the currently selected ship" is clicked (next to the launch button bottom left of the UI). To unload items simply click the items in the ships inventory from the hanger console UI, or to unload all items click the "Withdraw all items from the ship. You can withdraw individual items by clicking them" button (also next to the launch button bottom left of the UI).
