Captain

The Captain calls the shots. They are the managers of the crew, and as such make most high-level decisions such as what upgrades to get and what the general plan of the round is. The captain generally handles the following sub-tasks:

• Upgrades
• Navigation Ping
• Energizing Ships
• Setting AIs
• Initial Power Settings

Some of the subtasks are shared with the Ensign.

Pro Tips

• Expect to type a lot or speak a lot.
• Work with your team to victory. You are here to lead, inspire, and motivate them to enjoy the game, not force them to suffer through the round.
• You are not alone in this. Ask for suggestions if you need them.
• Your teammates may sometimes suggest ideas for upgrade paths or request upgrades. Help them out.
• As the manager of the Battlecruiser, if you find someone uncooperative or uncommunicative, you may have to fire them.
