Engine boost is a very powerful, energy efficient method of temporarily increasing your ship's speed by a large degree. Once researched, the ability will become readily available for usage on navigation for a cost of 3000 energy from your battlecruiser's capacitor, lasting for 10 seconds with a 40 second cooldown. While active, your battlecruiser will accelerate as an exceedingly fast rate up to a speed of 60.8m/s in addition to your ships speed based on engine output. This also works in accordance with enhanced stabilisers, which will cause engine boost to raise your speed by an entire 81m/s if your stabilisers are maxed. As such, engine boost easily becomes a powerful asset for your battlecruiser's movement, especially since it can be controlled from the navigation console.
