I'd assume specs would mean Specializations. I.E.:

Piloting Ace:
Ships controlled by this player move 10% faster.

Technician:
Ships controlled by this player gain an additional 1GW/s.

Guard:
This player has an additional inventory slot.

... etc.

i also figured that was his suggestion, there is a topic up called Classes, and that seems to be a general thumbs up from everybody. Will take a while however.

Specs = Spectator Spots. They have this ability in Star Battle. When creating a game you have the option to add up to four spectators. Spectators are able to see everything. In the game they can only communicate in the spectator chat. It's a great way for people to be able to watch matches and learn the game. It also gives the ability for a spectator to stream the match. In Star Battle tournaments some matches will have a spectator that streams the match with a small delay. This way people can see the match almost live.

Ah, should've guessed that.

Basically, there are some issues. The best way would be to use the standard spectator/referee system, however there are issues(see http://www.sc2mapster.com/forums/develo ... -variants/). I checked out Star battle and somehow, it circumvented this bug. I have no idea how the creator did it. If you guys have any contact with him, link him the thread I linked and ask how he did it.

The second way to do it would be to have a specific slot for observers. The problem is that there's a limit of 16 players. 12 are used for players, 2 for the BC and one for neutral. Doing the math means there's one left(Hostile) which is a bit special and wouldn't work well as an observer spot, not to mention it would limit the amount of observers to one.

Your best bet may be to post in the Star Battle forums, or see if you can get a hold of Zedu (Star Battle creator).

I posted on the Star Battle forum and had a PM conversation with Zedu. He was very helpful and sent me screenshots of how his setup looks.

Unfortunately, I couldn't achieve the same result, even by mimicking his setup completely. I have no idea what the problem is.

I'll keep trying but I'm running out of ideas.

That is unfortunate.

In the case you won't get it done, could you redo the 15th player slot into a spectator slot?
Someone capable of good livestreaming (good uploadspeed and 1920x1080 resolution monitor) could do it then (for example in the clan tournament).
