From the weapons console you can fire the Battlecruisers main lasers/kinetics weapon and launch loaded missiles. When you access the weapons console you will be put into space view, from there you can fire the main ordnance in any direction.
Weapons console weapons
Main laser/kinetics weapon
The Battlecrusiers main weapon can change between 2 types; lasers and kinetics. Only one type of weaponry can be armed at a time, and switching between them requires you to wait a small preparation time. On either setting the weapon is fired and aimed by simply right clicking in space view or using the “fire ability” targeted to where you want to shoot. Initially only single burst laser will be available, higher levels of laser bursts and the kinetics branch must be researched from the upgrades console to become available. When shooting the main gun, either laser or kinetics, energy from the weapons capacitor is drained (rather than the energy capacitor). If the weapons capacitor is empty then you cannot fire the main gun.

Lasers
Lasers are designed to combat shields. There are 3 laser burst modes single, triple, and penta. Each burst mode fires a different amount of rounds for a different amount of energy.
- Table Icon|Name|Normal Energy Cost|Projectile Amount * damage|
No matter the selected burst type, the Battlecruiser always shoots lasers in sets of 2, one from each of its wings, doubling the number of rounds.
There are some advanced tactics when using different laser bursts. Single burst lasers apply plasma charges to the hit target, plasma charges can be detonated for extra damage by hitting the same target with penta burst. If the triple burst has been inactive for 5seconds it gets reduced energy cost and increased rate of fire for a short duration when used.
Kinetics
Kinetics are designed to deal great amounts of hull damage. Kinetic Weapons can be upgraded into one of two branches after the initial unlock upgrade has been researched. Unlike lasers, Kinetic projectiles will originate from the center of the Battlecruiser instead of the wings.

Missiles
When on the weapons console, loaded missiles are fired by clicking on the respective icons bot right above the command card. Missiles, unlike the main weapon, cannot be fired in any direction. Missiles will always shoot out from the front centre of the Battlecruiser. Thus aiming missiles will require coordination with the player on the Navigation Console. To learn more about the types of missiles and how to buy/load and launch them, see the missiles page.
Early Game Weaponry
The range of the Battlecruiser's lasers are astonishingly far, well exceeding the sight range of the Battlecruiser itself. As such, the weapon console will often be used in order to combat Wraiths who stray too close to your Battlecruiser in hopes of picking off a Miner.
Weaponry in Combat
As expected, the weapon console is often to combat various Small Ships and the enemy Battlecruiser. However, it may also be expected of the weapon console to fire at enemies blind based upon radar pings, or even snipe an enemy Battlecruiser with Missiles at a long range. Also, because cruiser and cruiser fights depend heavily upon Energy Consumption, the weapon console may also have to frequently switch between various degrees of laser bursts in combat.
